发明名称 MOLTEN CARBONATE FUEL CELL
摘要 PURPOSE:To form an end portion sealing structure which would deteriorate less with temperature difference by packing micro particles in the end portion of a porous electrolyte, and making the average pore diameter of the end portion smaller than that of a cell reacting portion. CONSTITUTION:Metal micro particles for forming oxides of e.g. zinc, tin, titan, etc., readily oxidized in oxidizing atmosphere and excellent in heat resistance and anticorrosion property against electrolytes, or, oxide microparticles 18 of metal such as alumina are packed in the end portions of porous electrolytes 12, 13, which end portions are parallel to the gas supply passages thereof. Thus a seal portion 19 is formed which has its average pore diameter set smaller than that of porous electrolyte center portions 12a, 13a serving as a cell reacting portion. A plurality of unit cells each comprising an electrolyte layer 11, porous electrolytes 12, 13, gas supply channels 14, 15, and separators 16, 17 are laminated and a gas supply manifold is attached to the side face of the laminated body and is pressed with predetermined pressure to form a fuel cell. The sealing property of the cell is thereby prevented from being deteriorated with time by thermal cycle or temperature difference.
