<p>Fabrics or sheets of material following an undulating path are dried with hot air jets by maintaining the fabric, paper sheet, plastic fibre, thin metallic foil or similar material, coated with a chemical soln., a plastic material, a pigment, an ink or a similar coating material, for displacement along a regularly undulating path by a layer of hot air blown from each side of the fabric or sheet. The fabric or sheet is dried as it is being displaced practically without tension during spreading out or contraction. Efficient uniform drying is obtained without any tendency to fold or warp the material.</p> |
