PURPOSE:To eliminate the influence of heat generation on other parts by using a bimorph and making use of the displacement arising from the curving of the other end of the bimorph when voltages are impressed to the fixed end thereof. CONSTITUTION:The bimorph 26 constituted by sticking two sheets of high- polymer piezoelectric films, for example, thin films of high-polymer polyvinylidene fluoride is disposed in parallel with the longitudinal axial line of a moving optical fiber 20. One end of this bimorph 26 is fixed to a fixing member 24 and the free end 28 is connected to a moving end 22 of a free mov ing optical fiber 20 by a suitable connecting means 29, for example, an adhesive agent. The fixed end 30 of the bimorph 26 is connected with conductors 34, 36 in such a manner that the voltages are impressed to both surfaces from a DC power source 32. The free end 28 of the bimorph 26 is displaced from the positioned aligned to one stationary optical fiber 14 toward the other station ary optical fiber 16 when the voltages of the opposite directions are impressed to both end faces of the bimorph 26 at the fixed end 30 thereof. The influence of the heat generation is eliminated in this way. |
