LOW CALORY FOOD HAVING SWEETENING FLAVOR AND CONTAINING DERIVATIVE OF WATER SOLUBLE POLYSACCHARIDE AS FILLER

PURPOSE: To obtain a food excellent in the feel, etc., and having reduced calorie by adding hydrogen fluoride to aldohexose and polyol, bringing them into a reaction and using the resultant polysaccharide as a filler. CONSTITUTION: Hydrogen fluoride is added to aldohexose or hydrocarbon synthesized using >=50mol% aldohexose as monomeric units and polyol such as sorbitol and they are brought into a reaction. The resultant water-soluble polysaccharide and a synthetic sweetener such as acesulfame are added as fillers to obtain the objective low calorie food.
