PURPOSE:To achieve thickness and wt. reduction by bringing an unevenness forming member into contact with the surface of a prepreg itself through a release layer and forming an uneven part into a tubular body by the prepreg cutting-in action of the unevenness forming member by utilizing the pressure of the tightening action of a prepreg tightening tape at the time of thermosetting treatment. CONSTITUTION:A prepreg 1 for constituting a usual tubular body prepared by impregnating fibers aligned in the axial direction thereof or a reinforcing fiber sheet such as a fabric with a thermosetting synthetic resin is wound around a core 2. After a release layer is provided, an unevenness forming member 4 being a braided cylinder composed of a yarn like material such as a synthetic fiber is brought into contact with the prepreg 1 at least at the part of the release layer 3 or over the total length thereof to cover the same and the total length of the prepreg is subsequently tightened by spirally winding the prepreg 1 by a tightening tape such as a cellophane tape in a partially overlapped state. After thermosetting treatment, a tubular body 5 and the yarn like parts of the braided cylinder being the unevenness forming member 4 is cut in the prepreg of the tubular body 5 to form uneven parts 6.
