<p>The compost-turning machine, which consists of a horizontally arranged cutting shaft 1, is mounted laterally on a tractor 4 and is driven by the latter by the power take-off shaft. In order to reach a travelling speed of 100 - 400 m/h, a rope winch 3 is attached to the compost-turning machine and is driven by a hydraulic motor or likewise by the power take-off shaft. The pull rope 6 is fastened to the end of the compost heap 2. During the work operation, therefore, the pull rope pulls the compost-turning machine, together with the tractor which is running in neutral, through the compost heap. <IMAGE></p> |
