PURPOSE:To reduce the loss power even when static capacitance is increased by providing a control circuit controlling two switch groups, connecting plural power supply groups in series and applying a voltage to an electrostatic deflection plate stepwise sequentially with the switch group. CONSTITUTION:Outputs of two switch groups 59, 60 are coupled with common terminals 63, 62 of electrostatic deflection plates 65, 66 opposite to each other respectively. The switch groups 59, 60 are operated by a switch control circuit 61 and its operation is synchronized with a synchronizing signal. In order to apply a step deflection waveform shown in E1(t) to a capacitive load terminal 62, the switch group 59 is connected sequentially from the upper to the lower positions with the control circuit 31. The ON time is Tg each, a charge current flows to the deflection plate 66 rapidly and the current flows in response to the waveform level, then the loss of currentXvoltage in the switch is not caused, The other switch group 60 is operated in the entirely reverse direction resulting that a symmetrical step wave around E0 is applied. |
