Textile machine incorporates several winding stations, each of which has a winding spindle for package(s). The stations extend horizontally inwards into a service passage defined by the winding wall. Yarn guide and/or yarn treatment devices are above the service passage and connect the winding stations to devices on the opposite machine side. The package transporter has hanging holders suspended on a guide rail that runs in the longitudinal machine direction. The guide rail is in the service passage below the yarn guide and/or treatment devices and is made of individual subpieces. ADVANTAGE - Permits the use of a continuously working transport device in the area of a service passage without limiting access to machine side or to the aggregates above the passage.
