PURPOSE:To simplify the power supply circuit for a slave data communication equipment by using a power being the result of an optical power of a received optical signal converted by an optical power generating element for an operating powre supply of the slave data communication equipment. CONSTITUTION:A slave data communication equipment 20 consists of an optical branching element 21 receiving an optical signal and branching it into two paths, a data extraction means 22 converting one branched optical signal and extracting a data, an optical power generating element 25 converting the optical power of the other branched optical signal into an electric power and a constant voltage generating means 26 outputting the power as the operating power supply of the equipment while making the voltage constant when the power obtained thereby exceeds a reference value. Then the optical power of the optical signal is converted into the electric power, which is supplied as the operating power of the equipment. Thus, a battery and an external power supply are not required and simple feeding is attained. |
