New sulphonated alkenyl:glycoside derivs. - prepn. and use as anionic surfactant

New sulphonated alkenylglycosides (I) with a sulphate: sulphonate ratio of 7:3-1:1 are prepd. by reacting alkenylglycosides of formula R-O(CqH2qO)m-Gp (II) with reactants which introduce sulphate, and sulphonate gps.. The sulphate and sulphonate gps. are as acids or water-sol. salts of alkali(ne earth) metal cations, NH4 ions or quat. amine residues. G= glycose units from a 5-6C sugar; m = 0-30; p= 1-10; q= 2-4; R= 16-24C straight-chain alkenyl with 1-3 C=C bonds. USE - (I) of formula R' -O(CqH2qO)m-Gp(OSO3X)n, n= from 1 to (3p+1); R'= 16-24C (18-22C) alkenyl. (I) are surface active anionic tensides for use in textile washing compsns., cleaners for hard surfaces, and cosmetics.
