<p>An installation for hidden-arc welding comprises a guide (1) intended to be placed on the article (5) to be welded and having two working edges (2, 3), a trolley (7) with a drive (12) and with a frame (8) situated on both sides of the guide (1) and provided with three rollers (9, 10, 11) with V-shaped grooves, namely, a driving roller (9), a pressing roller (10) and a guiding roller (11). The driving and guiding rollers (9, 11) are mounted on the frame (8) of the trolley with the possibility of interaction with the opposite edges (2, 3) of the guide (1), whereas the pressing roller (10) is spring-loaded in relation to the frame (8) of the trolley (7) and is mounted so as to allow adjustment of its pressure against the working edge (2, 3) of the guide. The installation further comprises an arc welding device connected, through a suspension unit, with the frame (8) of the trolley (7), the suspension unit being located on the side of the driving roller (9). The invention may be used for welding elongated inverted and vertical joints for production of constructions for different use and of different thickness.</p> |
