PURPOSE:To easily form a metal plating layer having fine appearance, superior smoothness and high bonding strength on a resin molded body made of prescribed arom. polyester by roughening the surface of the molded body with a specified soln. blend and carrying out plating. CONSTITUTION:A resin molded body made of arom. polyester capable of forming an anisotropic molten phase is coated with a blend of solns. of arom. polyester resin as a first polymer and polyamide resin, etc., as a second polymer incompatible with each other to form a coating layer. Only the second polymer is then dissolved and removed to roughen the surface of the molded body and plating is carried out. |
