PURPOSE:To prevent adverse effect due to curled recording paper or a change in the characteristic by not performing picture forming but discharging the paper in standby when a 2nd command or timing signal is not received for a prescribed time after the recording paper is in standby. CONSTITUTION:Upon the receipt of a 1st command, a timer is started and then the supply of recording paper 2a is started and the recording paper 2a is carried up to the standby position. When the 2nd command is received within a prescribed time, the picture forming processing is executed at that point of time. When the 2nd command is not received within a prescribed time, a resist roller pair 13 is driven to restart the carriage of the recording paper 2a in standby and the recording paper 2 is discharged without application of picture forming processing and this processing is repeated after the timer expires. Thus, after the recording paper 2a is carried, since it is not resident at the standby position for a long time, it is prevented that the curled recording paper or the characteristic change due to heat results in giving adverse effect onto the paper carrying performance or its picture quality. |
