<p>Rammer (5) for those artillery pieces (2) which are charged with a shell (7) and propellant powder charge separately, intended to move the shell (7), upon charging of the piece, from a charge position in the immediate vicinity of the charge opening (10) of the piece to the rammed position (A) of the shell (7) inside the barrel ahead of the charge space intended for the propellant powder charge. According to the invention, the rammer, which preferably is hydraulically operated, is divided into two piston cylinder systems consisting of a primary rammer and a secondary rammer (16 and 22 respectively) connected by means of a transverse arm (21) and designed with parallel but counter-directed projection directions. Immediately before the rammer is activated, the secondary rammer (22) is situated along the longitudinal axis of the barrel and with its own piston rod (24) completely retracted immediately behind the shell (7) situated in the charge position, while the primary rammer (16) is at the same time completely projected. Upon ramming, the primary rammer (16) is drawn in and the secondary rammer (22) is pushed out. The invention also includes a swivel function (25-28) which makes it possible to move the rammer (5) aside from its active position behind the piece (2) to a rest position at the side of the piece.</p> |
