The invention relates to a tool assembly, tool components and a method of assemblying said components. The assembly (10A) comprises a machine spindle component (11) and a tool component (12) for chip removal. The spindle component (11) comprises a central clamping means (19) and a central recess (25A). The tool component has a central projection (15A) and a central threaded bore in its axially rear end. The seat (25A) and the projection (15A) comprise complementary, non-circular surfaces which are brought against each other during tightening of the means (19). The tightening of the means (19) is terminated by the mutual abutment of a front surface (26) of the spindle and an end surface (14) of the tool. The cooperating non-circular surfaces receive moment forces arising during the use of the tool. The method of assemblying relates to clamping said components together. |
