PURPOSE:To prolong the life of a filter and to obtain an image forming device which has superior maintainability by providing an ozone filter which has larger sectional area than an air discharge flow passage and a filter driving means which changes its air flow passing area. CONSTITUTION:This image forming device is constituted having the ozone filter 27, a driving gear 30, a driving motor 31, etc. Air containing ozone, etc., produced in the device by corona discharge is sucked through an air discharge fan 25 and passes through the sectional area correspondence part (hatched part) of the duct 26 of the filter 27 to decompose and remove the ozone, and the air is discharged to the outside through a duct 26 and the fan 25. The filter 27 is rotated by the rotation of the motor 31 through the gear 30, so the entire filter surface in the air discharge flow passage (hatched part) is used uniformly without any irregularity. Consequently, the life of the filter 27 can be prolonged by 4 - 5 times (sectionary area ratio of filter and duct). The replacement interval of the ozone filter is extended and the efficiency of maintenance is improved. |
