<p>PURPOSE:To enable a user to protect the security of a memory card by permitting read of stored contents of the medium by a control means at the time of detecting insertion of a key from the outside of an enclosure by a detecting means. CONSTITUTION:When a key 2 is inserted to an entrance 3, a key lock detecting mechanism 9 detects this insertion to set a tristate buffer 6 to the active state, and data can be written from the external to a memory or read from the memory 7 to the external through a signal line 5. When the key 2 is pulled out, the key lock detecting mechanism 9 detects it, and the buffer is set to a high impedance state, and data is inhibited from being written in the memory 7 from the external or being read from the memory to the external through the signal line 5. Consequently, alteration, loss, and leakage of stored data of the memory card are prevented to perform data management.</p> |
