PURPOSE:To obtain a photosensitive material with high contrast and resolution and suitable for a plurality of pictures through the repetitive use of latent image formed once, by providing a transparent conductive layer and a photo conductive layer having an electric charge generating function on both sides of the transparent insulating layer. CONSTITUTION:An electrophotographic photosensitive material 11 is constituted with three layer construction that a transparent insulating layer 13 and a photo conductive layer 14 are sequentially laminated on a transparent conductive support 12 and the layer 14 is provided with charge generating layers 16 and 17 respectively on both sides of a charge transfer layer 15. The layers 14 and 13 can sequentially be laminated on the support 12. When all the surfaces are exposed A at the same time or after the primary charging, charges are held B at both sides of the layer 13. When an optical image is exposed C at the same time or after the secondary charging of opposite polarity, the holding mode of charges at a light/dark section is changed D to form a latent image held on both sides of the insulating layer with the entire exposure E. |
