PURPOSE:To make it possible to check up maintenance and an electric wiring only with a decorative cover removed, by incorporating functional components such as a heat-exchanger element, a blower for exhaust and a blower for intake in an outer casing of a main body and by providing a construction necessary for ventilation by intake and exhaust. CONSTITUTION:In an outer casing 5 of a main body, a square-pillar-shaped heat exchanger element 10 of a laminate crossing-flow type is fitted removably at an angle of about 45 deg. among the front end parts of an exhaust passage 1 and an intake passage 2, an outside-air discharge port 8 and an indoor-air intake port 9. In the exhaust passage 1 a blower 11 for exhaust which forms an exhaust flow is incorporated, while a blower 12 for intake which forms an intake flow is incorporated in the intake pas sage 2. A bypass passage 3 formed in the lowermost stratum of the outer casing 5 of the main body has the front part opened in the indoor-air intake port 9 and the rear part made to communicate with the intake side of the blower 11 for exhaust in the exhaust passage 1 through a switching damper 13 which is closed normally. The right and left lateral sides of this casing 5 of the main body are covered with removable decorative covers 22 and 21 divided vertically, and by removing the decora tive cover 21, maintenance can be conducted easily. |
