PURPOSE:To reduce the weight of the whole member being displaced under action of an actuator in substance as well as to make a pad member displaceable at high speed by displacing only each grinding means comprising this retractable pad member in direction different with each other simultaneously through reciprocation, and constituting the grinding of a workpiece so as to be performed by an abradant being engaged with the grinding means. CONSTITUTION:Both first and second travel members 40a, 40b are retractably displaced in direction different with each other simultaneously by drive of a turning drive source via a displacement means, and both first and second means 52a, 52b being supported on these travel members 40a, 40b in substance via brackets 54a, 54b are merely displaced in a retractable manner. With this displacement, pad members 80a, 80b in these grinding means 52a, 52b are retractably displaced at high speed, and sand belts 146a, 146b are pressed to a workpiece Wa by these pad members 80a, 80b, and thereby the workpiece Wa in conveyance in an arrow direction is efficiently polished. |
