<p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to read recorded information from a distance or at close range by providing the first information recording part consisting of a light recurrent reflector of a specified pattern and the second information recording part for close-range reading on the base of a card. CONSTITUTION:Bar codes (the first information recording part) BC consisting of a light recurrent reflector (bright part) of a specified pattern and magnetic stripes (the second information recording part) MS are provided over the entire surface of a card substrate B at a specified interval so that these elements are parallel to the longitudinal direction of the card. The light recurrent reflector is formed by covering a light-reflecting mount with fine glass beads without no voids. Consequently, the reflection factor is significantly high, and a reflective light is obtained in almost the same direction as an incident light regardless of an incident angle so that information can be read even at a distance of tens of meters. Thus both the long-range and close-range reading of recorded information is possible.</p> |
