The present invention relates to a false ceiling of the type formed from uniformly spaced support profiles 1 and spacers 2 of inverted T-shape defining two horizontal wings and a vertical wing, the vertical wing of the supports receiving the hangers and the said supports and spacers defining modules of rectangular shape, each receiving a tile 3. According to the invention, at least two parallel profiles 1 or spacers 2 intended to receive one and the said tile are each equipped on their corresponding horizontal wing with a raised frame 6 of a height close to that of its vertical wing, the said raised frame being equipped with means for securing it in position, and the tile is positioned on the said raised frames. The invention permits the formation of suspended coffered ceilings and facilitates the positioning of heating films. <IMAGE>
