PURPOSE:To locate a sound image in the center of a cathode ray tube and to make the sound image coincident with the position of a video image by providing an imaginary sound image control means applying digital signal processing to a signal to be reproduced from a center speaker. CONSTITUTION:In order to realize the effect of a signal S inputted by an audio signal input means 1 as the signal were reproduced from an imaginary speaker 4 by using a real speaker 3, an imaginary sound source control means 5 applies the processing of a transmission characteristic BD to the inputted signal, the signal is amplified by an amplifier 2 and outputted from the real speaker 3.
