PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for correcting a slip of an induction motor driver are provided to reduce a variation of speed and improve an operating characteristic by calculating a slip speed on the basis of a slip prediction equation. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for correcting a slip of an inductive motor driver includes an analog/digital converter(10), a memory portion(50), the second slip calculated calculation portion(40), a speed command generation portion(20), and an adder(30). The analog/digital converter receives the analog stator current as an input signal from a motor and coverts the analog stator current to the digital stator current. The memory portion outputs selectively the rated stator current, the rated slip speed, and a motor no-load current value of the induction motor driver according to a command of a CPU. The second slip calculated calculation portion receives the digital stator current, the rated stator current, the rated slip speed, and the motor no-load current value, and outputs a corrected slip speed. The speed command generation portion outputs a desired rotor speed. The adder outputs a corrected stator speed by adding the slip speed to the desired rotor speed.
