An endless pressure or conveyor belt made of metallic materials has its ends linked together by a weld seam. In order to prevent the belt from elongating or stretching during its use and to avoid premature breakage due to ruptures in or at the weld seam, the ends (9, 10) of the belt have interlocking mutually offset tongues (11, 12, 13, 14,1 5) flush to all outer delimiting surfaces and with curved corners. The tongues are linked together by a weld seam that follows their entire profile.
