CONSTITUTION:When the Al alloy is made to a matrix and the surface of Al-base composite material in which reinforcing material made of inorganic material is composed is heated to the temperature above the melting point of the Al alloy of the matrix and below the melting point or the decomposition temperature of the reinforcing material, the Al alloy matrix in the composite material is molten. At this time, gas absorbed in the reinforcing material in the composite material is exhausted and in accordance with it, the molten Al alloy is precolated on the surface and the Al alloy layer is formed on the composite material surface. Accordingly, the pinholes are not concentrated on the interface between the Al alloy layer and the composite material. In addition, at the time of cladding by welding, since cladding by welding is performed on the Al alloy layer, the gas is not exhausted from the inside of the inside composite material and cladding by welding material is joined firmly to the composite material via the Al alloy layer.
