<p>PURPOSE: To detect cell omission and/or cell insertion by detecting omission or insertion of (n) cells when coincidence of bit values generated at the time of a bit-by-bit comparison continues. CONSTITUTION: Since an information signal C, which is by one bit precedent to a reference signal field (b), from a received test signal is arranged in the reference signal field (b), a constant signal showing omission of cells appears only on the output side of a bit comparator 7. Further, an information field X of cells is inserted between information fields A and B and in this case the correspondence is found for the 1st time in the information field B which starts from a bit 2 and delays by one bit for a bit array of a reference signal field (c). Therefore, the constant signal indicating the insertion of the cells appears only from the output signal of a bit comparator 10. Consequently, the cell omission and/or cell insertion is detected.</p> |
