PURPOSE:To activate different kinds of cathode-ray tubes simultaneously by connecting a resistance to the heater circuit of each cathode-ray tube in series. CONSTITUTION:In activating different kinds of cathode-ray tubes A, B and C simultaneously by means of the same device, the heating temperatures of cathodes 4 of the tubes A, B and C are adjusted within an appropriate range by connecting resistances R1 and R2, respectively, to heaters 3 of the tubes B and C in series, and feeding current to the tubes A, B and C from the same heater power sources S1 and S2. In the figure, G1 is a power source for a first grid, and G2 is a power source for a second grid. Here, when the rated heater voltages of the tubes A, B and C are 6.3V, the rated heater currents of the tubes A, B and C are 450mA, 680mA and 800mA, and the resistances R1 and R2 are winding resistances of 0.5OMEGA and 0.1OMEGA, respectively, the cathodes 4 of the tubes A, B and C can be adjusted to have the most appropriate temperature by supplying DC 10V and DC300V, respectively, to a first grid 5 and a second grid 6 and adjusting the heater voltage to AC11.0V. |
