PURPOSE:To obtain the toner which is decreased in coarse powder by subjecting at least a part of a fine powder discharge port, a fine powder discharge pipe, air inflow ports, classifying edges and pipings for discharge continuous to the classifying edges to a fluoroplastic treatment in the case of producing the toner by introducing ground raw materials and classifying the materials. CONSTITUTION:A classifying machine has side walls 22 to 24. The side wall 23 and the lower wall 25 are respectively provided with the classifying edges 17, 18 of a knife edge type. A classifying zone is trisected by the classifying edges 17, 18. Air inlet pipes 14, 15 opening in the classifying chamber are provided in the upper part of the classifying chamber and the pipings 11 to 13 for discharge opened in the classify ing chamber are provided on the base of the classifying chamber by corresponding the pipings to the respective segmented areas. The large particles are discharged from the piping 11, the intermediate particles from the piping 12, and the small particles from the piping 13, respectively. The fine powder discharge port 7, the fine powder discharge pipe, the air inflow ports 8, 12, the classifying edges 17, 18 and the pipings 11 to 13 for discharge continuous to the classifying edges 17, 18 are respec tively partly subjected to the fluoroplastic treatment.
