PURPOSE:To improve efficiency for simulation by comparing simulation data for each prescribed period with the simulation data of a simulation circuit and stopping the operation of the simulation when it is detected by prescribed times that the detection of coincidence is executed in the same period. CONSTITUTION:For each period of count period data 105 stored to a count period register 5 at a starting time, check data 103 from a check register 3 are compared with trace data 102 from a trace register 2 by a comparator circuit 4. When it is detected by a comparator circuit 9 that the coincidence detection in this comparator circuit 4 is executed in the same period, the stop of the simulation is instructed in the case that the time of the detection in the comparator circuit 9 reaches a fixed value set in advance. Accordingly, the generation of an infinite loop can be detected when the simulation is executed. Thus, a useless time for tracing the infinite loop can be reduced and the efficiency of the simulation is improved. |
