PURPOSE:To enable heat forming under making pair of disk pad by arranging a lower die, middle die and upper dir between a first heat insulating member and a first heating plate which are inserted between a base plate and a ram and a second heat insulating member and a second heating plate which are set at the base plate side in one pair of pressing devices set as facing to upper and lower sides. CONSTITUTION:A die 25 including a preformed friction material 31 and a back metal 30 is fed between the first heating plate 11 and the second heating plate 17 in the press devices 1, 2 at the upper and lower sides under unclamping condition. At the time of approaching each of rams 3, 4, in the press at the lower side, the first het plate 10 and the die 25 are started to ascend and the middle die 27 is pushed with a spring and abutted on the back metal to prevent burr of the friction material. Further, by working to advance each press, they are heated from both sides with the first heating plate and the second heating plate to heat-form the disk pad composed of the back metal and the friction material, and they are stuck with thermosetting adhesive. Then, the pressures at the upper and lower press devices are synchronized to give the prescribed pressure cycle. By this method, the disk pad is thermoformed under making the pair and manufacturing capacity can be improved. |
