4-Stroke internal combustion engine cylinder head with a single valve and rotary timing

The cylinder head is equipped with a single valve 1, the diameter of which is 3/4 of the bore of the engine cylinder. The valve is driven by an elastic system 3 consisting of a spring 4 placed in a closed cylindrical push rod 6 sliding on the valve stem 5 and connected by a connecting rod 2 to a small crankshaft 7. In the prechamber 8 there emerge ports 9 corresponding to ducts 12 hollowed from the cylinders of the rotary distributors 10 rotating inside the casing 11, spark plug locations 13 being provided at the bottom part of the cylinder head 16. The ports provide the arrival of fresh gases and the evacuation of burnt gases according to the cycle. <IMAGE>
