PURPOSE:To manufacture a heat exchanger where strength of a core after brazing is improved and its deformation and rupture are prevented by brazing reinforcing materials on the above-mentioned core at the time of assembling the core having a refrigerant path by brazing. CONSTITUTION:A bent heat transfer tube 2 has a flat cross section and plural holes through which heating mediums are circulated are formed on the inside thereof. Corrugated fins 3 are inserted between straight pipe parts of the heat transfer tube 2 bent in a zigzag shape. The long-sized reinforcing materials 4 are fitted orthogonally to the straight pipe parts of the heat transfer tube 2 on the side of a core assembled body. With these reinforcing materials 4, sheetlike metal pieces 6 are embedded in sheetlike 5 and brazing filler metals 7 are formed on the surfaces of the shapes 5. When this assembled body is charged in a furnace having the prescribed brazing temperature, brazing filler metals placed on the joining surfaces between the fins 3 and the heat transfer tube 2 and the brazing filler metals 7 of the reinforcing materials 4 are fused. When the assembled body is taken out from the furnace, the brazing filler metals are solidified and the heat exchanger where core strength is maintained by the metal pieces 6 of the reinforcing materials 4 can be manufactured. |
