<p>PURPOSE:To smoothly and securely insert reel driving shafts into hubs by providing a control circuit for controlling an electric driving device for a tape traveling device moving means for moving a tape traveling device from a hub separating position of a hub engaging position in response to a cassette inserting signal from a cassette inserting detector. CONSTITUTION:At least one of these operations of movement from the hub engaging position for reel driving shafts 29 and 30 and the hubs 10 and 11 to the hub separating position and movement from the hub separating position to the hub engaging position is performed by the tape traveling device moving means 60, 73, 83-86 with the electric driving device 73. It is detected by a cassette insertion detector 112 that a tape cassette 1 is inserted by a cassette moving means 42-48 into a data converting position or its vicinity, and the electric driving device 73 of the tape traveling device moving means 67, 73, 83-86 is controlled by the control circuit 76 to move the tape traveling device 25 from the hub separating position to the hub engaging position in response to the cassette inserting signal from the cassette inserting detector 112. By this method, the reel driving shafts can smoothly and accurately be engaged with the hubs.</p> |
