An inverted filter centrifuge consists of a drum (7) arranged to rotate freely in a housing (1) and having radial filtrate outlets; a cover (19) closing one of its free frontal areas, the drum (7) and the cover (19) being mutually axially movable; a filler aperture (22) in the cover for the suspension to be filtered and a filler pipe (21) passing through the filler aperture. The filler aperture (22) in the cover (19) can be hermetically sealed by a locking component (25) rotating together with the drum which is disconnected from the filler pipe (21) in a manner to avoid friction. |
