<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a tape from floating in the case the tape stops from a running state by controlling the timing for applying the braking to a reel base in accordance with the running direction of the tape. CONSTITUTION:By a mechanism control circuit 13, a large/small relation of the driving torque of a first and second motors 5, 6 is reversed at the time of running of a tape, based on a tape running stop command from a running command circuit 16 in the course of running of the tape. Consequently, after detecting a fact that a tape speed becomes less than a prescribed speed by a running speed detecting means 14, in the case it is decided that the tape is running in the forward direction by a tape running direction deciding means 15, a second reel base 2 is brought to damping by preceding hourly against a first reel base 1. In the case it is decided that the tape is running in the reverse direction, the reel base 1 is brought to damping by preceding hourly against the reel base 2.</p> |
