The seat position adjuster comprises hinged lever pairs joined one end to a first frame and at the far end to the second frame mounting seat height and lengthways positioner mechanisms. The lever pairs (3-6) run parallel and second frame (2) carries an additional height adjuster mechanism (16). The main height mechanism (15) is kinematically linked to the first lever (3), and adjuster (16) to the first lever of the second pair (5). The lengthways adjuster (62) is on the first frame (1) and kinematically linked to the first pair lever (3). Pref. the height adjusters consist of a rack (18) and their kinematic link to first levers (3, 5) consists of a pawl (20) hinged to the first lever ends (11, 13) and working at its far end with the rack. To change seat angle, the driver tilts one way and raises the seat cushion (67) on the opposite side rigidly fixed to frame (1) so that the levers rise and slip the pawl along the rack as required. - The seat is then levelled using handle (24), disengaging the pawl until correct level is reached and the rack re-engaged. This sequence can be carried for both sides of the seat in succession or together to achieve required height.
