A multifunctional catalyst containing cerium, uranium and at least one metal, for the conversion of the contaminants emitted by internal combustion engines, and their preparations.
This catalyst comprises a porous layer containing
- from approximately 20% to approximately 99% of at least one refractory oxide
- from approximately 0.8% to approximately 70% of at least one cerium oxide,
- from approximately 0.1% to approximately 50% of at least one uranium oxide,
- from approximately 0.1% to approximately 20% of a metal chosen from the group made up of Pt, Rh, Pd, Ru, Ir, Au and mixtures thereof.
Application to the catalytic exhaust industry.
