The invention relates to a filtering apparatus (1) for cleaning plastic melts in an extrusion plant, having a filter housing (4) which comprises a flow channel (5) with an inlet opening (6) and an outlet opening (7) for the melt stream as well as a filter carrier (8), mounted at least in such a way that it can swivel and having at least one filter element (9). The essence of the invention is that there are arranged in the flow channel (5) a drum-shaped, cylindrical filter carrier (8), having a through-opening (10) directed transversely to its rotating or swivelling axis and receiving the filter element (9), and, behind it in the direction of flow, a deflecting element (14) which can be set according to choice for at least two outflow directions of the melt stream. <IMAGE> |
