PURPOSE:To obtain the dry type ion selective electrode which allows the uniform and efficient formation of electrolyte and ion selective films on electrodes and the process for producing the above-mentioned electrode by consisting the electrode of a substrate, a metallic layer for eledctrodes, a resist layer as well as the electrolyte layer and the ion selective film. CONSTITUTION:The electrode is constituted by consisting the same of the substrate 1, the metallic layer for electrodes which is formed on the surface thereof and has a reference electrode part at one end, the resist layer 3 which covers the metallic layer for electrodes and the substrate exclusive of the reference electrode part and electrode terminal parts, the electrolyte layer 4 which is laminated on the reference electrode part, and the ion selective film 5. The constitution consisting in forming the metallic layer for electrodes on the substrate, masking the terminal part of this metallic layer with conductive paste, printing a resist film so as to regulate the reference electrode part, subjecting the reference electrode part to a chemical treatment to form a metallic salt layer, and supplying the electrolyte layer and ion selective films to the electrode parts regulated by the resist film is adopted in this production process. The dry type ion selective electrode obtd. by this constitution obviates the short-circuiting between the layers of the electrodes, has the decreased contact parts with a specimen, allows the mass production of the electrodes and has a high economical effect. |
