<p>PURPOSE:To prevent gas or liquid from leaking, enable long period of safe use, and control the ability of water hammer prevention by disposing a nut having at its one end a piping connection section and at its other end a corrugated pressure container made of cylindrical thin sheet metal, and a spring over the container with the axis of the spring nearly the same with that of the piping connecting section and with both ends of the spring connected to the container. CONSTITUTION:When abnormality such as water hammer is produced due to an impact wave of non-compressive fluid in a liquid supply system, a rapid pressure rise is caused and the non-compressive liquid is supplied to a staineless steel-made corrugated tube 1. The corrugated tube 1, while extending its length, receives the non-compressive fluid by volumetric expansion. When the pressure of the liquid supply system lowers, the corrugated tube 1 contracts and thus prevents water hammer. The absorption effect here is great because the expanding direction of the corrugated tube 1 is nearly the same with the liquid discharge direction. With a spring 3 disposed on the outside of the corrugated tube 1, absorption effect is increased because of the agreement of the directions of expansion and contraction of the spring and the corrugated tube. Restoration force of the spring is also added and the adjustment of the response speed is made easier.</p> |
