<p>PURPOSE:To contrive both the improvement of a processing speed and the prevention of a quick consumption of a charging type battery by switching a frequency of a clock signal supplied to the CPU in accordance with a terminal voltage of the charging type battery. CONSTITUTION:A voltage detecting part 2 detects a terminal voltage of a charg ing type battery 1, compares it with a reference voltage Vp determined in advance, outputs a switching signal Sn in the case the terminal voltage of the battery 1 is higher than the voltage Vp, and outputs a switching sigal SL in the case the terminal voltage is lower. In the case the signal Sn is supplied, a clock signal generating part 3 generates a clock signal of a high frequency, and outputs a clock signal of a low frequency in the case the signal SL is sup plied. In such a way, when the terminal voltage of the battery 1 is higher than the voltage Vp, the clock signal of a high frequency is supplied to a CPU 4, and the CPU 4 operates at a high speed. Subsequently, when consumption of the battery advances and the terminal voltage becomes lower than the voltage Vp, the clock signal of a low frequency is supplied to the CPU 4, the CPU 4 operates at a low speed and the degree of consumption of the battery 1 becomes slow.</p> |
