PURPOSE: To facilitate signature copying by alternately piling up the first and second orientation sheets, and putting them in order of the page number for signature copying so that the signature copying can be automatically performed by a recirculation type document handling device. CONSTITUTION: A document set is divided into two half-sets by an operator, the half-sets are put on a job input tray 70 with the second half-set having the great page number facing down, and then a separating sheet 74 is put on the second half-set. Then, the first-half-set with the small is put on the separating sheet so as to be directed upward. The sheets of the first half-set are piled up sequentially on a RDH tray 21 by a top side document feeding device 72 through an inlet 22, a platen 23, an inverted passage 46, and the separating sheet 74 is detected by a sensor 90 to be ejected. Then, the document sheets are sent alternately from the bottom of the RDH 21 and the top of the tray 70 onto the platen 23, the signature copying is performed, and then the sheets are returned to the RDH tray 21. Thus, the signature copying can be easily performed. |
