PURPOSE:To simultaneously observe pictures, which are stored hourly separately, and to compare those pictures by providing a referring picture display screen, temporary select picture display screen and moving image display screen in a display means and observing a moving image while observing the referring picture display screen. CONSTITUTION:A picture record retrieving and displaying device 1 is connected to an endoscope unit 2 and can retrieve the record of an endoscope image. The picture record retrieving and displaying device is composed of a picture storing means to store a series of time sequential pictures, control means to select the arbitrary picture out of a series of the time sequential pictures, to output the selected picture and simultaneously to successively output a series of the time sequential pictures for selecting the picture and display means to simultaneously display the picture, which is selected by receiving an output from the control means, and a series of the time sequential pictures for the selection. The time sequential pictures stored in the storing means are read by the control means and displayed in the display means. When the prescribed picture is selected out of these displayed pictures, the control means simultaneously outputs the selected picture and a series of the time sequential pictures for executing the selection to the display means. |
