PURPOSE:To prevent the destruction of down-load data by merely checking whether the down-load data is usable when the down-load data is stored in a memory means. CONSTITUTION:When it is judged that an IC card 3 is mounted, the checking of the IC card 3 is executed. That is, a flag FD is read from the ID region of an external RAM 3a to execute said judgement. When it is judged that the flag FD is set, a sum check method is executed. That is, the entire data stored in a down-load buffer region presently are added and operated and, when the sum total value of the data coincides with the check value T stored in the ID region, down-load data is judged to be normal and usable and, in case of non-coincidence, it is judged that there is abnormality in the down-load data and error display is performed. |
