<p>A protective padding, characterized by liquid-water impermeability and water vapor-permeability is provided. The padding comprises a middle layer of padding (12) and top and bottom (14) layers of nonporous breathable films. The top and bottom layers may alternatively be comprised of one layer of nonporous film (17) and one layer of porous film (15). The padding is useful in diverse applications such as the underpadding for orthopedic immobilizing devices and as insulation capable of withstanding water immersion.</p> |
