Controlling sealing oil slurry to sealing system - constant pressure difference between internal pressure in housing contg. gas and that in sealing system

A motor (5) and pump (6) maintain a defined difference between the internal pressure in a housing (1) contg. a gas and that in a sealing system (3) sealing oil feed line (4). A differential pressure sensor (9) signal is fed to a controller (12) as the actual signal (10). The controller error signal drives a frequency converter (14) whose output frequency varies with the control error and controls the motor via a power circuit. USE/ADVANTAGE - For flexible control of pressure in sealing oil feed to sealing system for housing contg. gas, pref. hydrogen, under pressure preventing delivery of unnecessary oil quantities. Esp. for hydrogen cooled generator.
