The machine produces printing blocks. It incorporates a housing (1) containing an optical illustration system and a light source (4), travelling along a stationary guide (2). The system contains a picture window (11) guiding the illustration medium and also a lighting system generating a partial spectrum to suit the spectral characteristics of the block and the material to be illuminated, and separate from the overall spectrum of the light soruce (4). A lens (14) on the housing gives an illustration scale variable by motor. USE/ADVANTAGE - Machine for printing blocks gives even illumination and enlargement.
