<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the load on a host computer and to improve the response of operation by providing a means which performs hardware scrolling operation according to a manipulated variable, a means which locks the scrolling of a screen and a means which informs the host computer side that the scrolling is locked and then scrolls the screen. CONSTITUTION:A CRT device side is provided with virtual screen areas #1 - #9 which are divided on a screen in an X and a Y direction and free movement among those areas #1 - #9 is enabled by using a joy stick to display the areas. This system is provided with the means for the hardware scrolling matching the manipulated variable of this movement indicating means and the means which locks the scrolling of the screen and further provided with the means which informs the host computer side of the lock position of the screen when the screen scrolling is locked and scrolls the screen. Consequently, when the hardware scrolling of the screen is performed, the load on the host computer is reduced and the response of the screen is improved.</p> |
