PURPOSE: To reduce the influence of impact load and vibration by rotatably attaching, to a stator shaft, a stator which is situated around a spindle shaft fixed to a base plate with a first end, loading means for loading a second wedge member against a first wedge member, and a rotor around the stator. CONSTITUTION: A motor is incorporated in a disk drive assembly, a stator 34 is attached to a stationary spindle 24, and a rotor is loaded on a rotary hub 52. Using a wedge ring structure, the stator 34 is locked on the spindle 24, through which the ring is locked with a bar. With a bearing preloading structure incorporated, a bearing is preloaded, reducing the influence of vibration. In order to improve stability, the spindle 24 is attached at both ends, with one end screwed in a base plate 26 on the case of a magnetic disk unit and with the other end attached by means of a clock plate 100 installed on the case. Consequently, a solid and sure unit is obtained, and a disk drive assembly is obtained that can withstand a load or a stress such as impact, vibration and an extreme temperature. |
